2nd Quarter:  "The Four R's" Reading Response -- Realistic Fiction Book Project

Instructions and forms have been provided to students.  They are also attached.  Students chose book for their project.

Projects are due January 9th (1/3/5) and October 10th (2/4/6).  Students must have project ready to present on the due date for their class period. 

Project Directions:  Students are to write a four paragraph reading response using the Four R's (Retell, Relate, Reflect, Review); one paragraph for each.  Students are encouraged to type their repsonses.  If this is not possible, then writing must be legible.  The paragraphs are to be placed in a folder made out of a file folder, construction paper or poster board (letter paper size).  Folder is to be folded like a book.  Students are to draw a picture of their favorite sign post in the story (Contrast/Contradiction, AHA Moment, Tough Question, Words of the Wiser, Again & Again or Memory Moment) on the outer front side (cover).  They are also to write the title and author of their book.  The reading reponse (four paragraphs) are to be attached to the inside page of the folder.  They will present their cover page and reading response to the class.
